Free Event For Public Along With Cardinals Draft Party April 28th To Recruit Super Bowl 2008 Volunteers

Another reminder about the local Glendale event to recruit Super Bowl 2008 volunteers , Saturday April 28, 2007.

The Arizona committee organizing the 2008 Super Bowl says it will officially launch its effort to recruit 10,000 volunteers at the Cardinals Draft Party, set for April 28 at University of Phoenix Stadium.

“We thought this was a perfect opportunity to marry the two events,” said Bob Sullivan, president of the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee. “They are drafting players; we are drafting volunteers.”

The party, which will be open to the public, will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the east concourse of the stadium, located off Loop 101 and Maryland Avenue in Glendale. Food, beverages and live televised coverage of the NFL draft will be provided.

The Volunteer Draft party will take place in conjunction with Arizona Cardinals NFL Draft Day festivities event will take place from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on the east concourse of the University of Phoenix Stadium Stadium, located off Loop 101 and Maryland Avenue in Glendale.

The event will include appearances by Cardinals players, coaches and cheerleaders, Spike the Super Ball and Big Red. There will be entertainment, food, raffle prizes and giveaways, a Kids Zone with face painting and balloon artists, and Spike will give out t-shirts to all those who sign up to join his Super Crew of volunteers.

Attendees should park in the East General lot and enter at Gate 3.
