About AZSuperBowlBlogger
After researching other Super Bowl sites, I realized there was not a whole lot of really useful information for football fans, locals, or those who may be traveling here to Arizona for NFL games, the BCS Fiesta Bowl and/or Super Bowl XLII.
I decided to create a site that I would want to check out, full of information from locals about the area and what is going on here, for NFL games or Super Bowl XLII, so AZ Super Bowl Blog was born.
I hope you find information here that is helpful and that you can connect with other football fans and have a great time!
About Super Bowl Mike
The Long, Long, LONG Road to the Super Bowl
My name is Mike, welcome to my long, long, LONG road to the Super Bowl. This is a journey that has lasted four years, through two cities, the worst hotels on the face of the earth and some of the most fun I have ever had.
It began easy enough back in December of 2004 when I was at a family Christmas party and my brother-in-law Thom said, “Hey Mike, it looks like the Pat’s are going to the Super Bowl, let’s go to Jacksonville!!” Never one to miss what could be the ultimate guys weekend I said, “Sure! I’ll start planning”.
That is where my long road to the Super Bowl begins. This road has gone from Jacksonville in 2005, to Miami in 2007 and the next stop is Phoenix in 2008. The toughest part has been although I have been in the hosting city each year I have NEVER been to the big game!
That’s right, I have never actually been to the Super Bowl. It may sound crazy, but over the next few months I will share with you everything I have learned about being in the host city on Super Bowl weekend.
From fake tickets, to one of the hottest parties in Miami and what lies ahead in Glendale Arizona, you will share in my past journeys as well as my quest to be at “the show” on February 3, 2008, traveling all the way from New Hampshire. I am really excited about sharing my story with everyone on AZ Super Bowl Blog.com, buckle up this is going to be a great ride!
